Built in 1900, this classic Greek revival home is located on a small lot in a historic district. A ten-foot addition allowed for a kitchen expansion, a new gathering space and mudroom. A small, historically accurate mudroom leads into a private backyard patio area. The painted and detailed cabinets, marble countertops, wide plank pine flooring and wood paneling were chosen to complement the style of the house. The original charm of this home has returned and it meets today’s living style. The owner calls this home his Nantucket cottage and looks forward to sharing his remodeled home with island neighbors. The project was designed and built by TreHus and has been awarded a 2009 Chrysalis award, 2009 Master Design Bronze award, and 2008 COTY award all in the Residential Historical Restoration category, and a 2009 Janus Award.
