  • <p>This beautiful home was starting to look its age when the home owners looked for help on a this remodel.  Built-in stone planters and limestone accent the new porch.</p>
  • <p>The new Craftsman style porch is equipped with motorized retractable screens creating an outdoor space that is either completely open or bug-free, at the push of a button.</p>

  • <p>A new rear deck features a copper standing-stem-roof, integral planters, ipe decking and a privacy screen.</p>
  • <p>The entryway was opened up to create a more welcoming and spacious foyer. A built in bench and floor-to-ceiling cabinets create storage.</p>
  • <p>The oak floors throughout the main floor were refinished to allow the space to blend in with the rest of the remodel. The heart motif from the front baluster was used in several other places in the home.</p>
  • <p>The main-floor living room was reconstructed with a bay window and french doors. New built-in bookshelves create storage.</p>
  • <p>An L-shaped booth creates room for the whole family or entertaining. A beautiful powder room off the kitchen and living room adds to the charm of the home.</p>
  • <p>The main floor dining room received a face-lift, creating a comfortable space for entertaining.</p>
  • <p>Custom basement pantry doors were made with stained glass inserts and were repeated throughout the home. The original limestone foundation wall was left exposed, creating an accent wall.</p>
  • <p>The electrical and pipes had to be moved so the space could be used as a living area. The finished basement was built with a heated oak floor, pine tongue-and-groove paneling and reclaimed barn wood for the ceiling beams. Unique deep storage drawers take advantage of unused space under the staircase.</p>

Featuring traditional-style square web railing designs and industrial chic caged ceiling fans, this stunning Minneapolis remodel creates the perfect blend of traditional and modern charm, beginning with the exterior and flowing throughout the entire home. Exposed natural stone and warm wooden accents contrast with bright, white design elements to create an inviting, timeless space that complements the rich history of this home. Throughout the home, heart shaped cutouts can be found in select wooden doors and cabinets to create a sweet, cottage-inspired feel.
