Edina Screened Porch and Deck

  • <p>The owners of this Edina home had an existing screened porch and deck that had become dilapidated.  TreHus rebuilt both the porch and deck.  The structure of the new deck is cedar and the decking is ipe.  The interior of the new porch has a pine beadboard ceiling and accent wall for visual interest and a fan to keep occupants cool.</p>
  • <p>The new porch and deck fit much more closely with the style of the home with similar blue siding and white trim.  The classic cedar deck complements the home and is an ideal place to enjoy the home’s lakeside setting.</p>

  • <p>This photo highlights the interplay of materials in the interior of the new porch.  The top portion of the accent wall is knotty pine, while the lower portion and ceiling are clear pine.  These are contrasted with the darker tones of the ipe deck boards and the lighter tones of the white trim.</p>
